It’s been some time since I’ve got to sit an enjoy a hobby project that’s not a rush job prior to an event and so with having finished the build on a couple of ongoing projects it was time to decide on my project for next year.
To help alleviate my indecisiveness, I ran a poll on the facebook page for this blog and although there wasn’t much response there was a clear winner and that was my Renegades & Heretics project.
Having recently acquired all the parts for the initial list I’d like to run I’ve set about building everything ready to get my brushes into action.

For anyone that knows me this is significantly larger than my average force as I usually favour a more elite force. The reinforcement points in this list will be for summoning Exalted Flamers of Tzeentch to get some more reliable fire power that can be screened by all the chod. Although in the future these will probably get replaced by more Thudd Guns 🙂
Now although it’s a lot of bodies the leadership of this rabble is notoriously bad, ranging from 3 to 8 due to the uncertain worth rule. To help with this my dirt cheap warlord will be using the Inspiring Leader trait from the rulebook giving him +1 leadership and passing that value on to nearby units. The warlord will then be camped next to the Militia Command Squad with their command vox net, which passes this value out to units within 10 feet! Finally to be on the safe side I’ve included a couple of Enforcers to auto pass morale tests at the cost of d3 plebs. Hopefully this will keep my army of disgruntled fishmongers, cobblers and life coaches in the fight a little longer.
So far, only the Macharius Heavy Tank is painted so I have a lot to be getting on with.
