I’ve not posted much lately and that’s largely due to how busy my work life has been since the pandemic containment measures were put into place here in the UK.
That said I have been making the most of what free time I have for hobby and have been keeping sane by working on a number of projects at the same time to keep things varied & prevent a case of hobby burnout.
Been a quiet lately with all that’s going on, but here’s a quick update from the Renegades & Heretics project that I can had clean forgotten to publish over here on the blog…
Just a quick one today. In my last post I mentioned that I was starting a new project in the form of a Renegades & Heretics list…well…I’ve made a start!
It’s been some time since I’ve got to sit an enjoy a hobby project that’s not a rush job prior to an event and so with having finished the build on a couple of ongoing projects it was time to decide on my project for next year.
To help alleviate my indecisiveness, I ran a poll on the facebook page for this blog and although there wasn’t much response there was a clear winner and that was my Renegades & Heretics project.
With only a couple of days to spare Canis Rex is back from a visit to the local Tech-Priest for decal work and has been suitably grimed ready for Pompey Pillage 2019!
With what at last count looked like 47 40k players we should see another cracking 5 round tourney.
Despite the warm weather I’ve been cracking on with work on Canis Rex and he’s almost ready to be handed off to my trusty Tech Priest that looks after the decals 😛
A slightly later start on this year’s mad painting dash to get ready for Pompey Pillage but that is partly due to me hitting an all time low model count for the 2000 point cap at the event.
This year I shall be running five(ish) miniatures in the event, three of which I have already painted.
This last weekend saw the 3rd annual Confrontation Alliances event held in Havant by Confrontation Events.
This year I teamed with up with The Hawaiian Hurricane himself, Nick “Dice Down” Hyland.
Each pair had to put together two separate 900pt lists that would then function as a single 1800pt list. This allowed for some really interesting lists to pop up if you were willing to sacrifice the 3 CPs for being battle forged.
After much deliberation we eventually settled on Mechanicus / Knights. Here’s the list we ended up using:
